World Dog Show in Milano, little reflection. - 15.06.2015
On Saturday we have visited with Simba World Winner Dog Show in Milano. I was nicely surprised by the fair grounds and by lots of space around rings, nice red carpets. All organizers did a good job.
After all night of travel I got a bit tired, but Simba behaved in ring perfect, showed herself nicely. Watching the judging reminded me, that also the biggest event in the year of dog shows - World Winner Show - does not need to be judged according to FCI standard. Most of the placed a winning dogs fitted to following part of officialy accepted FCI standard nr.40 for Irish Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, citation: Coat:.. Soft, wavy or loosely curled with the sheen of silk. Under no circumstances should the coat be "fluffed out" like a Poodle or an Old English Sheepdog. Dogs shown in this condition should be heavily penalised as they give a wrong impression of type and breed.... Faults: Overall mature coat not clear wheaten colour..... Eliminating faults: Dull, thick, woolly or cottony textured hair... the end of citation.
Simba presented herself perfect, got very good. First I was a bit annoyed, but after it I had to laugh. In this year World Winner Dog Show won Poodles and Old English Sheepdogs. In this group I would not like to be with my Irish Wheaten!
